The Annual Prize-giving Day of Belilios Public School was held on 7 December 2012. It was a great pleasure to have Ms Julian Ho Yin-fong, a practicing solicitor who is also a member of the Appeal Panel (Housing) and Social Security Appeal Board, to return to her alma mater as the guest-of-honour.
The Principal, Mr Chan Tsze-ying, congratulated the prize-winners on their outstanding academic achievements, with Yung Yu-man attaining five distinctions in the HKALE and Leung Hiu-yan achieving five Level 5** and two Level 5* in the HKDSE. The students’ achievements in various inter-school competitions ranging from drama and music to sports are equally commendable.
In her speech, Ms Julian Ho reminisced that it was BPS, which had built the character of truthfulness in her and had brought her life-long friendship. She encouraged the students to seek a sense of success and friendship in their talents.
The ceremony ended on a high note with the winning performances of Chinese and English speech, exotic Indian dance, orchestral and choral music, and the singing of the school song.
