In order to increase the awareness of protecting the environment, a green week called ‘White X Green Actions’ was held from 13th September to 17th September by the Environmental Education Team. ‘White’ refers to the polar regions while ‘Green’ refers to environmental protection. During this week, students could understand how human activities affect the polar regions and what they can do to conserve our resources. Various activities were held during this week, including the lunch-time video shows, display of green tips along the corridors, reading DEAR articles, interclass quiz and essay-writing competition. All schoolmates took actions to protect our planet by switching off the air-conditioners in the first lesson on 17th September. We believe that through the collaborative efforts of all individuals, the small changes in our daily habits can make a big difference in conserving our earth.
