About 100 (154 entries) of the Secondary five science students entered the Secondary School Mathematics and Science Competition organized by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and obtained very outstanding results. Six students attained scores at top 2% of all the candidates in the respective subjects: Lam Pui Yi(5B) obtained Medal Certificates in both Biology and Chemistry while Hoo Tsz Lou Cheryl(5B), Mok Hiu Ching(5B), Chung On Tik(5P), Lee Ka Sen Florence (5P) and Luk Cheuk Yau(5P) obtained Medal Certificate in Chemistry. Furthermore, 30 students obtained High Distinctions in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. All of the above students will be given an interview if they choose the faculties of the Hong Kong Polytechnic & University in Band A in 2015.
