On 30th July, 2011, our school’s orienteering club helped Y2Y Orienteers (Y2Y 定向人) to organize a park orienteering competition at North District Park. 17 of our club members participated in this memorable event.
On that day, we were divided into several groups and were responsible for various kinds of duties, for example, setting points, gathering competitors, recording results and so on.
It was a very new and unforgettable experience to most of us as we have only taken part in competitions but have never assisted to hold a competition. We found that preparing a competition is definitely not an easy thing as we have thought. It requires a lot of time and effort.
We enjoyed this event very much. In the future, we hope we can not only join more competitions but also have more chances to help organize competitions and to broaden our horizon.
