Some students from The Environmental Education and Conservation Team participated in ‘My Green Space’ Green Building Competition for Schools organized by Hong Kong Green Building Council in November 2011. The overarching aim of the competition is to facilitate the sustainable development of Hong Kong through the promotion of sustainable buildings. Students participated actively to present ideas on how green building concepts can be applied to their home, schools and community. One of the entries from three S3 students, Wong Hiu Ling, Yeung Ching Yiu and Sy Check In, was submitted and won the first runner-up in Junior Secondary Division.
The winners were invited to receive prizes in Award Presentation Ceremony cum Exhibition on 3rd March, 2012. The competition has driven students to apply green building concepts in their daily life and spread the message to their friends and families.
