Our school’s Mock Trial team had participated in the 2014 Hong Kong Inter-School Mock Trial Competition organized by ARCH Academy. The team consisted of nine students and it was the first time our school had participated in an inter-school mock trial competition. The preliminary rounds were held on 26th April and our team had to compete against two other school teams from Ho Fung Secondary School and SKH Lam Woo. Amazingly, our school came in first out of all schools during the preliminary rounds. The champion and first runner-up were allowed to compete in the finals which were held on the next day, on 27th April. During the finals, we competed against Chinese International School. The judges were all professionals, ranging from solicitors to High Court judges. Finally, after an intense trial, our hard work paid off and we gained victory. Not only so, Bonnie Leung was awarded Best Barrister and Margaret Tsai was awarded Best Witness. All in all, it was an enjoyable and rewarding experience for all of us.
