In early May, 20 Interact Club members had gone to Taiwan for a 4-day exchange tour. During the journey, we made friends with the Interactors and Rotaractors, chatted and expressed our feelings, deepening our friendship. Through visiting some historical sites and tourist spots, we understood more about Taiwan's customs, history and culture.

Living with the hustle and bustle of a city, it is really a precious and remarkable experience to visit the butterfly hall of the Success high school. We were also impressed by the passion of Professor Chan towards butterflies. His attitude is worth learning and respectful.

We have visited the elderly center and held a carnation-making workshop to share the joy of Mother’s Day with the elderly the next day and we have visited the Interactors’ schools, the Taipei Municipal Shilin High School of Commerce and had an exchange program with mentally disabled students there in the final stage. During this trip, we can compare policies adopted by the Hong Kong and Taiwan governments on education, elderly and the disabled, which inspires us to reflect on ourselves. It’s really worth thinking.

Throughout the whole journey, we are glad to have the Interactors and Rotaractors accompanied us to visit different places, introduce the culture of Taiwan and do services. We spent four meaningful days in our trip. This tour widens our horizons by allowing us to have deeper understanding about Taiwan people’s life and culture, gain more unusual experiences and, most importantly, build up sincere and deep friendships with each other. Without the great effort and co-operation of the Rotary Club of Peninsula South and Taiwan, the exchange tour would have not been such a great success. Last but not least, we express our utmost and heartfelt thanks to the Rotary Club of Peninsula South and Taiwan, and the Interact Club of Peninsula South and Taiwan for their contribution.
