On 23rd November 2017, 35 S4 students participated in Mei Ho House School Guided Tour organized by the HK Youth Hostels Association (YHA). The exhibition showcases Shek Kip Mei’s public housing history through the 1950s to 1970s through a mixture of donated exhibits and first-hand anecdotes from former residents. Students learnt more about the history of Hong Kong’s public housing development, the way of life of early resettlement block residents, and the striving and resilient spirit of the Hong Kong people. They also learnt about the revitalizing scheme for Mei Ho House and the importance of heritage conservation and revitalization of historic buildings in Hong Kong.
