The school held its annual Prize-giving Day on December 11. It was a great honour to have the distinguished Professor Tony F Chan, the president of HKUST, as our guest of honour. In his speech, Professor Chan used his personal experience to encourage students to grasp every opportunity along their paths of study and urged them to try if they want to succeed. He also reminded students to listen to their hearts and always be a leader, not just a follower when an opportunity comes.
The Principal, Mrs Ng Chan Suk-yee, congratulated the prize winners on their outstanding achievements over the past year. She proudly highlighted Lee Ka Sen, Florence, who achieved an impressive five Level 5** and two Level 5* in the HKDSE exams. Lau Kwan Lam received the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme 2014-15 presented by the Hong Kong Education Bureau and the Hong Kong Association of Careers Masters and Guidance Masters, whereas Tin Yeuk Wai obtained the Lee Hysan Foundation Scholarship to study at the prestigious Rugby School in England.
The ceremony ended on a high note, with the winning performances of the English and Putonghua speech recitals, a Turkish Dance, and orchestral and choral music.
