On 3rd March 2014, our Folk Dance members participated in 50th Schools Dance Festival organized by Hong Kong Schools Dance Association Limited and received Honours Award and Choreography Award in Western dance Section.
Three young girls performed a skilful dance called Georgian Dance with complicated steps for the celebration of a mountain festival northeast in Georgia.
Twenty-four girls performed a graceful dance called Bulgarian Dance. This dance is originated from Debrogea region, northeast Bulgaria. The people usually perform the dance in a wedding, with different arm movements and sometimes with wooden spoons. This type of dance shows the influence of the Turkish culture.
