20 S4-S5 students joined a Christmas party held by the Interact Club with mentally handicapped people of Ching Lan Home in Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital on 14 December 2013.
The event included a large variety of activities such as games, Christmas carol performance and potluck. The purpose of the event was to bring the festive atmosphere, happiness and joyfulness to them. At the same time, participants learnt how to communicate and take care of people with special needs. It was a meaningful and special Christmas party for everyone. Students not only learned the skill of organizing an activity but also understood the importance of teamwork and division of labour. Different students took up different tasks and collaborated together. The service carry out smoothly and efficiently. What’s more, all students felt grateful for bringing fun and food to those in need.
