A group of S1-S5 students went to Asia-Expo Hong Kong to attend the Eco Expo and a meet-and-greet with the Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam Sing. In the Expo, students learnt about some ongoing projects that promote environmental protection in Hong Kong and saw some environmentally friendly products from all over the world. During the meet-and-greet with Mr Wong, we were honoured to be chosen to ask Mr Wong a question: Does the Hong Kong Government have any plans on cooperating with Shenzhen to reduce air pollution caused by cargo ships at the moment? Mr Wong’s answer was: ‘The Government is planning with the Chinese Government for ships to switch to environmentally friendly fuel when arriving the Shenzhen piers like in Hong Kong.’
