“Songs of Hong Kong”, a performance organized by 45th Hong Kong Arts Festival was held at our school hall on 18 October 2016. It is an outreach programme for the concert “Hong Kong Odyssey” under the Jockey Club Local Creative Talents Series. Seven local professional performers gave various styles of vocal performances, including a cappella and band, to demonstrate the development of styles in Hong Kong pop song from 1950s to present. Students gained more knowledge on local history and music styles through the performance, like nanyin, TV theme songs and band music.
