First of all, we all had a great time over there and enjoy it very much. The International Understanding Trip was a bit different from holiday travel because instead of staying in a hotel, we were accommodated in several hostels.
During those days, the lifestyle was not the same as Hong Kong. People there get used to having a plentiful breakfast which includes rice or few dishes before they go to work or school. However in HK, we usually live in a fast-paced style so that we always have a simple breakfast or some of us may even skip it.
Moreover, as this is an exchange program, we learn more communication skills. We become less dependent on our own friends in Hong Kong and like to chat more or have sharing with the Koreans. Though not many of them are good at speaking in English, we still try our best to express thoughts and views. Meanwhile our problem solving skill has been greatly enhanced.
In addition, we all feel that the students there were well-disciplined. They gave us a warm welcome when we first met. What we had also noticed is that after they have finished their meals, they would clean up the dishes themselves. Not many HK students can behave like this. Therefore, we would like to bring up these good practices to Hong Kong students.
All in all, we do think it is a precious opportunity to exchange with the Koreans. Our horizons are greatly widened throughout the trip and we have gained lots of experiences.
