A group of thirty enthusiastic S4-S6 Literature in English students met one of the leading poets in the UK, Mr Simon Armitage, in the in-school workshop organized by the Hong Kong International Literary Festival 2012 in collaboration with the British Council.
In the workshop, Mr Armitage recited some of his famous poems, such as the ranting 'Kid', and shared his experience of poetry writing. Our literature students have learned a great deal about the poet and his writing through a personal chat with Mr Armitage while getting his autograph on their copies of his works.
Prior to this event was the pre-workshop on Mr Armitage's selected poems from Book of Matches organized by Mr Lau of the Literary Society.
