“A Night at the Museum of Art with Andy Warhol’’ was held on 8th-9th March which was co-organized by the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Over 300 Hong Kong students took part in this event, including 9 students and 1 Visual Arts teacher from our school. The program lasted for 12 hours and it was divided into two sessions: Exhibition Tour and Art Workshops. Since the programme was a long one, there were breaks and refreshment in between sessions and there was a local band to perform their rock music for entertainment. In addition, it was such a precious chance for learning art since it is the first time the HKMA opened at night. Our girls enjoyed this innovative program, and it was a pleasure to have such a special and meaningful experience for students to explore the facts of pop art. As a famous saying by Andy Warhol goes “everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes”, but to all participants, they had a night instead.
