On 25th and 26th January, 20 girls participated in the Rainbow Life Camp at Breakthrough Youth Village held by the Interact Club. This 2-day-1-night camp was successfully held and beneficial to our girls in several aspects, especially for the first-hand experience of being a handicapped person. Through this experiential activity, they can fully understand the obstacles and hard feeling when those visually, auditory and physically handicapped people are being discriminated against or having meals. It is also to educate them that patience is needed when dealing with the disabled, so as not to look down on them.
Besides, our girls enjoyed the time of learning magic and twisting balloons. They have completed several complicated balloon products in which they can certainly make some for our targets in the coming service as souvenirs. They also know more about the disabled and build up a sense of belonging through the mass games. All in all, it was an elite camp that was not only about having fun, but also learning a lot about the handicapped and experiencing it.
