On 12th October, six of the Interact Club members and Ms Kan paid a visit to a textile company called ‘’L plus H Fashion Company Limited’’ in Tuen Mun. The vocational activity is conducted by the Rotary Club.
“L plus H Fashion Limited” is a nascent community interest company, aiming to produce knitwear products which are 100% designed and made in Hong Kong. It is a platform for talented former weavers to rejoin the work force as well as enhancing their self-worth and evaluating their skills. Though their enthusiasm and devotion to textile manufacturing, their knitwear products are compared favorably with world-classed factories. The Love and Hope of the entrepreneurs, workers and designers have made the company like no others.
During the visit, students learned about the manufacturing procedures and delicate craftsmanship. Even though it is only a small-scale factory, each manufacturing step is conscientious and meticulous. There are also lots of high-tech facilities such as the seamless knitting machines to ensure its quality. After visiting “L plus H Fashion”, students learned they should treat every task seriously and wholeheartedly in order to be successful.
