According to statistics, each Hong Kong citizen produces around 6.7 tonnes of carbon dioxide every year. If we keep on producing a large amount of carbon dioxide, this will exacerbate the global warming. It is the message from the Z Carbon Pioneer Training Course organized by Zonta Club of Hong Kong, Zonta Club of the NT and Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden.
In October, some members of Environmental Education Team and BPS Z Club attended the two-day training course. There was a project introduction in the Zero Carbon Building on the first day. Then we had a field trip at the Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden on the second day. Through the meaningful activities, we learned that in order to conserve our planet, we should change our lifestyle and start to lead a life with less carbon emission. We hope that our school will get over 50 students to sign up a pledge for low carbon living. Your support is necessary because a little change may result in a big difference. Therefore, let’s join hands together to create a green environment.
